Fri 1323 Aug 10, 2007 St. Andrews Castle

On the way to St Andrew's Castle, I bump into Heather, Peggy and Mary who just came from there and were on their way to St Andrew's Cathedral. At the castle, I check out their exhibits and explore the ruins. There's really not much to see so I even explore the countermine tunnel. During a siege of the castle, a mine (tunnel) was made to storm it, but countermines were dug and one was successful. The countermine is a damp and low tunnel with a groove in the center. I go pretty far before I encounter a ladder going down. There is no way I can climb down and still carry my Cowboys jacket and a bag of books so I turn around and head back. I wonder if the girls explored this?
