Sun Aug 5, 2007 - Bus tour of Glasgow and the Kelvingrove Museum

At 1450, we gather in the lobby for our bus tour of Glasgow. We are bus 2. Barbara our guide tours us through Glasgow which is the largest city in Scotland. It's a dreary day as she put it. In fact, it appears darker and wetter. My photos are spotty and dripping. The buildings with blonde stones structures are older while the red are newer. Many of the cathedrals were converted after the ministers moved out with their flock. One was even converted to a bar.

We have an hour of free time to tour either the Museum of Art or the Museum of Transportation. Everyone else toured the Museum of Art which was more than just art. It was like the Smithsonian and even included Natural Science like stuffed animals, pipe organ and costumes of old. All National Museums in Scotland are free.
