Wed Dec 27, 2006 National Botanical Garden Conservatory

We arrive at the National Botanical Gardens Conservatory.

Outside is a cool model train display which is setup only for Christmas. I should have taken a photo of the whole display.

A trestle made of tree branches connects two sections like the one above. You can even walk beneath this small bridge.

Inside is a small village based on fairy tales. It completes complete with... you guessed it. Model trains.

Can you find the home of the Old Lady who lived in a shoe? It always looked like a boot to me.

A Christmas tree was also on display, but the cool thing were these miniature buildings made of branches.

The National Botanical Gardens Conservatory

The Capitol

The Library of Congress

I would have loved to stay longer, but it's time to get moving. We pass the Smithsonian Castle which has a carousel in front.
