A breakfast buffet comes with the room. The more unusual fare includes a pickled or as they call it a marinated herring and slices of veggie cheese which tasted like American cheese. Sliced squash is served with the fruits. There is caviar in a tube, biscuit, flat coarse crackers like Mary gets me, hard salami, smoked salmon, small sausages, scrambled eggs.
We board the bus waiting in front of the hotel. It drives us to Reykjavik Excursions where we transfer to a very full bus. This is our tour bus. Our guide is a woman with an accent but she's understandable. Some words are pronounced differently - "Fumarole" is pronounced "Femorole". "Geysir" is "geezer".
